Randy writes "Recently the class of '67 ( the first graduating class of Narraguagus High School) held its 40th reunion. At that gathering we contributed to the purchase of a small, simple plaque to commemorate our class. Our hope was to have the plaque placed in Narraguagus High School.
Let me tell you a little bit about us.
In 1967 there was no building as you know it today. After the towns had voted in favor of forming an administrative district, we were pulled from our small high schools to spend our final year in a conglomeration where the juniors and seniors attended classes in Milbridge and the freshmen and sophomores went to Cherryfield.
We did our part but have never felt that we were recognized by either our former schools or by Narraguagus, It was us who named the Squire. It was us who chose the knight. It was us who chose burgundy. It was us who did not attend at "the building." And it is us who have always felt to be outcasts without an anchor.
It is our hope that if we can place this small plaque it will help to connect us to our alma mater. Even though it is of our own making perhaps it will lend some recognition to the pioneering we did.
